A Double Farewell: George W. Bush
America is not only going to farewell to President Bush, but also to an era of good time.
Perhaps the collapse of Twin Towers marked the beginning of the end of the America Empire. And the complete of the end was then realized at the hands of Bush. First is the war to Iraq and then the economy recession while Bush is going to step down.
It's natural that Bush waged the war to Bin Laden following 911. But America lost its moral prestige by waging the war to Iraq based on a false report alleging Iraq possessed weapon of mass destruction. The blindly and in-discretional believing of that report reflects Bush's idea that the use of military power could turn the Middle East to a place that is more friendly to America. The military power is just like the knife at the hand of Doctor Bush to carve the body of Middle East. He takes out any evil organ he thinks, transplants a foreign one and immediately call it a mission accomplished.
Democracy never comes from foreign but from internal inspiration and aspiration in a society. Bush is whether an idiot or a business man craving the oil there by a war under the name of anti-terrorism. The War to Iraq turns out a great cost to America. The cost is not only the obvious military cost but also the economy recession many years following the war.
After the initiation of the Iraqi War, all the press and media were overwhelmed with the news about war to a psychotic state. Any American casualty is a story, but hundreds or thousands casualties of Middle East people are just numbers. The focus on the war shifted the real issue in States that helps the growing of the financial crises now we face. Bush successfully maneuvers the war to secure his grips on the power but lost the power of America to the world both morally and economically.
After being strong for nearly a century, it comes with Bush's believe in power, pride, and ignorance to international affairs. History shows that every empire always comes to an end. Every empire comes to an end by pride, so is America.
